Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Practitioners from Rural Communities

ASHM are pleased to announce that scholarships are available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Practitioners who are based in rural and remote communities in Queensland.

Scholarship Criteria:

  • Applicants must be based in QLD
  • Priorities are provided to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Practitioners working in rural and remote communities
  • Applicants must be actively working in the field of Sexual Health
  • Applicants must provide ASHM with a post-Congress impact statement which will be provided to QLD Health

Scholarship Inclusions:

  • Congress registration
  • 1 ticket to Congress Dinner
  • Travel to and from Brisbane 
  • 5 nights’ accommodation in Brisbane  
  • 5 days per-diem (including airport transfers) for the time spent in Brisbane, excluding travel days.

ROUND 2: Queensland Health Workers and Practitioners

ASHM are pleased to announce that scholarships are available for Health Workers and Practitioners who are based in Queensland.

Scholarship Criteria:

  • Applicants must be based in QLD
  • Applicants must be actively working in the field of Sexual Health
  • Applicants must not already be registered for the Congress
  • Applicants must provide ASHM with a post-Congress impact statement which will be provided to QLD Health

Scholarship Inclusions:

  • Congress registration
  • 1 ticket to Congress Dinner
  • Travel to and from Brisbane 
  • Up to 4 nights’ accommodation in Brisbane

Student Registration Only

On behalf of the WAS Organising Committee, we are delighted to announce Student Registration Only Scholarships are available for students wanting to attend the WAS Congress 2025.

his scholarship will cover your registration ticket only. Students must be able to fund their own travel and accommodation (if required).

Scholarship Criteria:

  • Scholarship recipients to provide testimony to Congress Secretariat
  • Ideally, scholarship recipient are to attend the Public Lecture, UNTITLED, on Tuesday evening
  • Encourage you to post your key take aways during the Congress on social media

Scholarship Inclusions:

  • Access to all Congress sessions
  • Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea at the Congress
  • Attendance at the Welcome Reception
  • Attendance at the Public Lecture: UNFILTERED: Sex, Power and Pleasure
