Armin Ariana
Congress President Lecture "Sexual Health for All: Reflecting, Connecting, and Advancing Together"
Dr. Armin Ariana is the President of the Society of Australian Sexologists (QLD Branch) and a member of its national Board of Directors. As a clinical sexologist and Associate Professor at Griffith University, School of Medicine and Dentistry, he has dedicated his career to advancing sexual health education, LGBTQIA+ inclusion, and global advocacy. His work has earned numerous accolades, including the 2024 Australasian Sexual and Reproductive Health Alliance (ASRHA) Innovation Award, the 2024 Griffith University Vice Chancellor’s Excellence Award for Innovation in Learning and Teaching, a Global Impact Grant from the Higher Education Academy (UK) in 2022, a Dean of Learning and Teaching Grant (2021), and Vice Chancellor’s Teaching Excellence Awards (Griffith University - 2019, 2016).
Armin is a widely published and respected leader in sexual health education and advocacy. His extensive body of work includes peer-reviewed publications, books, and an innovation patent in his field of interest. He develops and leads innovative sexual health courses, supervises PhD students, and drives initiatives to advance sexual rights, justice, and pleasure. As Congress President for WAS 2025, Dr Ariana is dedicated to amplifying diverse perspectives and fostering meaningful dialogue within the global sexual health community.
